The shortlist for the 2023 Car of the Year award is decided. Out of the long list of 27 models, the Jury has chosen seven nominees.
Interestingly, all of the finalists have some form of electrification involved - if not fully electric. They are:
Jeep Avenger
Kia Niro
Nissan Ariya
Peugeot 408
Renault Austral
Subaru Solterra/Toyota bZ4X
Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The Car of the Year is an international award that is judged by experienced motoring journalists from all over Europe. The point of the prize is to crown a single, overall winner instead of having category winners, class winners, or any other sub-divisions.
A final voting round at the beginning of January will decide for the 2023 Car of the year and the winner will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Brussels Motorshow on Friday, January 13th.
