Six years ago, Toyota C-HR was first released to the market. Even for a Toyota, the model already has had a long life cycle. However, its successor is becoming more concrete. This C-HR Prologue reveals approximately 80 percent of the looks of the second generation that we expect will come out within the next year.

The Toyota C-HR prologue provides us with a glimpse of the future; a car that will soon be seen driving on roads all around Europe. Just like its predecessor, the revamped C-HR has been developed at ED², which is the automaker's European Design Development headquarters located in southern France.

As is typical with concept cars, the C-HR comes equipped with oversized wheels; though they'll likely be reduced in size slightly for the production version. Toyota is also likely to switch the pop-out door handles for a traditional setup, as well as replacing side cameras with regular glass mirrors. To keep up with current design trends, Toyota is installing an LED light bar at the back, where the large faux diffuser stands out significantly.

The Japanese automaker is keeping mum about the details of the new C-HR since it's only a concept car. However, they have said that the overhangs are shorter and more practical on the inside, which suggests that the wheelbase is slightly longer. The self-charging version will continue, but Toyota is also planning a plug-in hybrid model with batteries assembled in Europe.

The release date of the second-generation Toyota C-HR has not yet been announced. Рowever, it is anticipated that the premiere will be at the end of 2023.
