Production of the 2022 Buick Encore for the U.S. and Canadian markets has officially ceased at the GM Bupyeong plant in Incheon, South Korea. As the final units roll off the line, Buick is making way for its new model: the Envista.

Initially debuting for the 2013 model year, the 2022 Buick Encore is the 10th model year for the first-generation crossover. The Buick Encore contains the turbocharged 1.4L I4 LE2 gasoline engine under its hood, which is rated at 155 horsepower and 177 pound-feet torque. All of this power goes through the GM six-speed automatic transmission.

Buick Encore will be replaced by the new Buick Envista. This new crossover is already on sale in China, powered by a turbocharged 1.5L I4 gasoline engine producing 181 horsepower and connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The new North America-bound Buick Envista will most likely be produced in South Korea. However, it is still unknown which factory in South Korea will handle production.
