Full details of the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray hybrid have been leaked from within General Motors on its online configurator – and was spotted by fan site Corvette forums before it was taken down.

The Corvette E-Ray hybrid, available in US showrooms next year, is similar to the high-powered Z06 with its wider wheel arches.  However, it does not include the front and rear wings present on the Z06. It also has body-colored accents instead of black.

The E-Ray name is a twist on the Stingray badge used by General Motors since 1963, and identifies the first electrified Corvette.

These leaked images confirm an earlier report that the 2024 Corvette E-Ray will be available in both Coupe and Convertible configuration.

However, the General Motors gallery pictures do not show a plug-in charging point, which identifies the E-Ray as a hybrid - not a plug-in hybrid - and its quad exhaust pipes indicate the continued use of the Corvette's mid-mounted V8.

The LT2 V8 produces 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque in standard specification, while the electric motors are expected to deliver around 50 horsepower each. This would bring the E-Ray's total output to roughly 600 horsepower, placing it between the entry-level Stingray model, yet below the high-performance Z06.

GM Authority has also learned that the E-Ray will be offered in both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive configurations. This will make the E-ray more competitive and accessible in markets like Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
