Just in time for the holidays, a rare glimpse of the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray was recently captured in action and can be seen drifting through snow drifts on YouTube. This amazing sneak peek into Chevy’s newest sports car was recorded by “Corvette_Nut”, an active member of Corvette Forum.

The E-Ray will be between the entry-level model and the Z06. It seems that the Corvette E-Ray will use the same engine as the Stingray, the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8. This engine is usually good for 495 horsepower and it might not change for the E-Ray. But, an electric motor will be added to drive the front wheels and there will also be a small battery pack in the floor.

Boasting 600 horsepower and all-wheel drive capabilities, the Corvette E-Ray is sure to be a lightning bolt off the line. But can it outrun its Z06 counterpart with 670 hp? Only time will tell whether this newbie of Chevy's lineup can beat its predecessor.

Beyond its incredible performance, the hybrid Corvette will be much more practical and easy to drive in harsh weather conditions due to all-wheel drive. As you can see with this prototype drifting skillfully through the snow, it's clear that there are many advantages of having a hybrid Corvette.
