Last month, Chevrolet unveiled its first all-electric concept sedan, the FNR-XE, at a debut event in China. GM's primary joint venture in the country, SAIC-GM, has now released additional information and official images of the vehicle.

According to Chevrolet, the name of the Chevy FNR-XE Concept is a combination of several acronyms that represent the innovative spirit of the brand, namely "FNR" for "Find New Roads", "X" for ongoing exploration, and "E" for the Ultium all-electric drivetrain.

The Chevy FNR-XE Concept is a compact to midsize four-door sedan with a distinctive slip back design and pony-car-inspired proportions. It has short overhangs, an aggressive front end featuring a jewel-like grille panel, and futuristic lighting elements. There's also an expansive glass area from the windshield to the rear window plus a sharply raked C-pillar giving it fastback lines.

The FNR-XE was designed by GM's Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) in Shanghai and is a preview of the next generation of Chevrolet all-electric vehicles for the Chinese market. It showcases both the Ultium Battery package and Ultium Drive motors, which will be featured in future production models from the brand.

The unveiling of the FNR-XE Concept is an exciting step forward for GM's zero-emission vehicle strategy in China, and further demonstrates Chevrolet's commitment to advancing sustainable mobility solutions around the world.
