The three-wheeled Mate SUV features a frame made from 90% recycled aluminium, a 250W mid-drive motor with a torque sensor that delivers 66lb ft (90 Nm) of torque, Envilio internal gears, hydraulic twin disc brakes, and an electric assist range of up to 62 miles (100 km).
The cargo load area at the front of the vehicle can be fitted with a variety of modular options, including a box, roof, and seats, and has a storage capacity of 210 litres.

The SUV also includes built-in LED lights, shock-absorbing materials, and 4G connectivity, allowing for vehicle tracking and key function control via a smartphone app.
Mate boss Thomas Vuillez said that “it is on our DNA to make e-biking cool and fun”, adding: “The SUV is something that was born out of our curiosity about how we move and to challenge the known ways of running errands and making short trips.”
The Mate SUV is available to pre-order now in the UK and Europe for £49, with a 20% discount off the expected final price of £5600.
