The circular taillight brings to mind the 4C and 8C models and suggests that the new car will slot in between those models, possibly with a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine.
While details are scarce, it is expected that the new model, tentatively known as the Alfa Romeo 6C, will make its official debut in March 2023. The much-anticipated Italian supercar will most likely be a limited-production offering, translating to a hefty price tag and a high collectability status.
Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato has revealed that the design of the supercar will be inspired by iconic models from the past, hinting at the gorgeous 33 Stradale. Design boss Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos backed up the rumors saying they are up for a surprise reveal soon.
The 6C will likely be the last gasoline-powered model released by the brand, as Alfa Romeo plans to transition to electric vehicles in the coming decade.
