The 1500 Revolution BEV Concept features a low roofline and aggressive LED lighting, as well as illuminated "RAM" tuning-fork logos. Its full-glass roof is equipped with electro-chromatic panels that can be darkened at the user's command. This vehicle's design is more experimental and bold compared to those of its main competitors, Ford and GM, and is more similar in style to the Rivian rather than the F-150 Lightning.
The 1500 Revolution BEV Concept has a pass-through midgate, which is a popular feature among truck owners but not yet a common feature on most models. This feature, which is also being incorporated into the electric Silverado and GMC Sierra, helps with storing and hauling large items. The vehicle also has a front trunk (frunk) with hooks for groceries, power outlets, and storage accessories. The midgate also includes third-row jump seats that are partially outside the vehicle.
The 1500 Revolution BEV Concept also has a feature called Shadow Mode, which allows the vehicle to follow the driver as they walk ahead of it. According to a statement from Ram, this voice-activated feature can be useful in situations where the driver needs to move a short distance and doesn't want to get back in the truck, such as when picking up tools or equipment from a job site. The truck will follow the driver at a safe distance, using sensors and camera technology to navigate around obstacles.

The interior of the 1500 Revolution BEV Concept has almost no buttons, as most functions are controlled through a touch screen. This screen can be removed and used as a standalone tablet, and the vehicle's electric powertrain allows the entire cabin to be four inches longer than that of a conventional Ram 1500.
The 1500 Revolution BEV Concept also includes an AI-powered voice assistant with a Ram-shaped 3D avatar that serves as the "face" of the vehicle. Additionally, when Level 3+ autonomous driving is engaged, the steering wheel retracts. The exterior of the vehicle has a projector that can play movies, and the infotainment system can be used to make adjustments to the driver's smart home. The vehicle also has an "intelligent storage app" that uses augmented reality to help drivers determine whether objects will fit in the truck.

While specific details about the 1500 Revolution BEV Concept's specifications are not yet known, we do know that it is a body-on-frame truck with an integrated battery pack that powers all four wheels. It also has four-wheel steering to assist with low-speed maneuvers such as parking and towing.

As the trend towards EVs with a range of 500 miles or more continues to grow, the production version of the 1500 Revolution BEV Concept could potentially offer a similar range. Ram has stated that the concept vehicle can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes when using an 800-volt DC fast charger.
"The Ram Revolution represents several important things to the Ram brand," said Ram CEO Mike Koval. "Of course, it’s our new Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept that serves as a roadmap to our electrified future. Yet Ram Revolution is also our philosophy as we redefine the pickup segment, with a steady drumbeat of announcements and initiatives as we embark on our electrified journey.
