The store, which is open until February 26, 2023, is a pop-up showroom that offers a unique experience to interested customers, albeit for a brief period of time.

Polestar, the Geely-owned Swedish brand, has opened a new showroom that's a first of its kind, made entirely of snow. The "Polestar Snow Space" is located in Rovaniemi, Finland within the Arctic Circle, and is the second Polestar Space in the country.

Inspired by the minimalistic design of Polestar's headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Snow Space was designed by Polestar architects and built by the Finnish company Frozen Innovation. Frozen Innovation has built around 50 different snow and ice installations in the last 15 years, including hotels, bars, and even a small castle. However, this is the first time that the company has built a cube.

According to Frozen Innovation's CEO Taavi Heikkila, the company used around 3,924 cubic yards (3,000 cubic meters) of snow from the local Ounasvaara ski resort for the construction of the cube. The establishment is 32 ft (12 m) high with walls that are 6.6 ft (2 m) thick. The project took six weeks to be completed, including two weeks of construction.

Polestar has a digital-first retail approach, allowing customers to configure and purchase their vehicles online. However, for those who want to see and test drive the cars in person, the Polestar Snow Space offers that opportunity. On display is the Polestar 2 EV, which can also be taken for a spin on a nearby snow track. Additionally, the car is showcased alongside ice sculptures of its wheels, suspension parts, and brakes created by local artists. Visitors can also receive assistance from non-commissioned Polestar Specialists.

The pop-up store, made entirely of snow, will be open until February 26, 2023 after which the snow used in the construction will be returned to its source.
