The entry-level Sprint model will start at $42,995, while the midrange Ti will be priced at $44,995. The top-of-the-line Veloce will be available for $47,495. These prices do not include a $1,595 destination charge or the federal tax credit of up to $7,500 for those who plan to lease the vehicle. Currently, only the Ti and Veloce models can be pre-ordered, with the Sprint model becoming available later in the first quarter of the year.
The Tonale is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a small 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, resulting in a total output of 285 horsepower and an estimated 350 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid system allows the all-wheel-drive crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph in an estimated six seconds.
2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale
Thanks to a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Tonale can travel more than 30 miles without using any gasoline. With the battery fully charged and a full tank of gas, Alfa Romeo estimates that the Tonale can travel for up to 320 miles and return an estimated 75 MPGe. The battery can be charged in 2.5 hours using a level 2 charger.
It's worth noting that the mechanically related Dodge Hornet is being sold in the US starting from $29,995, but it does not come with an electrified powertrain. Pricing for the Hornet R/T plug-in hybrid has not yet been disclosed.
