A recently released video highlights the potential of micro-mobility options, showcasing a modified e-bike that can reach speeds of up to 75 mph on the roads.

As the cost and difficulties of owning electric vehicles in urban areas continue to be a challenge, e-bikes are becoming a more popular choice for daily transportation. Not only are they a cost-effective option, but with the increasing number of modifications available, individuals are able to enhance the speed of their bikes.

One notable example of this trend is a video that was posted on Youtube recently, displaying the modifications made by one individual to their e-bike. However, it's not just backyard enthusiasts who are exploring the capabilities of e-bikes. SUPER73, a bike manufacturer that began on Kickstarter, is gradually introducing options that can travel faster and farther, and can carry more weight than before.

This competition in the e-bike market has led to SUPER73 producing its first electric motorcycle, allowing those with a motorcycle license to reach speeds of around 60mph. Even traditional bike and motorcycle manufacturers are getting in on the trend of faster and more capable bikes. Ducati, for example, has released its own e-mountainbike, the Ducati TK-01RR, while road bike manufacturers such as Trek and Cannondale have entered the market with e-bikes that are lighter than ever, thanks to full carbon fiber frames, more lightweight and specialized motors and batteries, and specially-made gear components.

As more people move to densely populated urban areas and seek out simple, affordable, and efficient modes of transportation, it is likely that micro-mobility options will continue to grow in popularity. Additionally, in a world that is increasingly focused on reducing carbon emissions, e-bikes may prove to be a valuable solution.
