H650 upgrade available for 2021 and newer models of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, at a cost of $27,950.

Hennessey, a Texas-based car manufacturer known for creating high-performance vehicles, has released a new upgrade package for the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, and GMC Yukon. The package includes a supercharger, high-flow intake system, intercooler, and more, which increases the output of the GM 6.2-liter V8 engine from 420 horsepower to a whopping 650 horsepower.

The upgrade package, called the H650, includes a 2.9-liter supercharger, high-flow intake and intercooler, updated engine management software, and a stainless steel exhaust system. These upgrades result in 650 horsepower and 658 lb-ft of torque, according to Hennessey. The company's testing showed that the H650 Escalade can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds, leaving the standard Escalade in the dust with its 6.1-second 0 to 60 time. The quarter-mile time also improved by a full second.

The upgrade package is available for 2021 and newer models of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, regardless of trim level. The cost of the upgrade is $27,950, not including the cost of the base GM SUV. Each upgraded vehicle also comes with a serial-numbered engine plaque and a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty from Hennessey.

John Hennessey, CEO of the company, said in a statement, "Our team is very excited about this supercharging development for GM’s 6.2-liter V8, as it offers a huge audience of GM SUV owners the ability to bump power by an impressive 230 horsepower – that’s a 55 percent increase in power. Additionally, the improved torque increases drivability at all speeds and enhances towing. The H650 upgrade literally transforms sedate family SUVs into performance vehicles."
