Now powering the base model is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that produces 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six mild-hybrid powertrain carries forward with 395 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque; its lower-power version (335 horses) has been dropped from the lineup.
The big change comes in the form of a new 11.4-inch curved glass infotainment system, which replaces all buttons, knobs or dials, and runs on Land Rover's Pivi Pro software. This supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, over-the-air software updates and Amazon Alexa voice command intelligence via sidebars in the screen for quick access to settings like climate control, heated seats and audio volume. A leather-free interior is optional and features wool textile inserts with a new perforation pattern; if you opt for leather instead, there are three new colors available: Cloud, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet. Additionally, an air purification system can monitor cabin air quality better than a traditional filter.
