Consumer Reports, a renowned product review publication, has conducted a study on the least satisfying vehicles to own. Based on the opinions of thousands of members, the study aimed to shed light on the cars that people regret purchasing.
When asked if they would buy the same vehicle again, the following cars received the lowest approval ratings:
Vehicle | Percentage of members who would buy again |
---|---|
Kia Forte | 51% |
Nissan Altima | 51% |
Nissan Kicks | 49% |
Volkswagen Taos | 48% |
Kia Seltos | 48% |
Jeep Compass | 46% |
Mercedes-Benz GLA | 45% |
Infiniti QX50 | 40% |
Mercedes-Benz GLB | 39% |
Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport | 38% |
In stark contrast, the Chevrolet Corvette was deemed the most satisfying car to own by Consumer Reports, followed by the Porsche 911, Rivian R1T, Ford Maverick Hybrid, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The impressive performance of the latest Corvette and the decades-long reputation of the Porsche 911 make their top spots well-deserved.
The results are from the 2022 Annual Auto Surveys, involving more than 300,000 vehicles. Data from the 2020 to 2022 model years (plus a few 2023 models) were used, provided a vehicle wasn’t significantly changed over that time.
