Lamborghini has just revealed a pair of one-off cars - the Invencible coupe and the Autentica roadster - which mark the end of the line for their gas-only V12 engine.

The two cars, based on the long-standing Aventador platform, are a mix of past models with styling cues taken from several V12 machines including the Reventon, Veneno and Essenza SCV12. Built to be light and nimble, these cars feature full carbon fibre bodies, hexagonal designs and 3D printed air vents inside.

Underneath this beautiful exterior lies an even more impressive performance package: a 6.5 litre mid-mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 769 horsepower and 720Nm (531lb-ft) of torque sent through an all wheel drive system via a seven speed ISR gearbox. This combination allows for a 0 to 62mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 220mph (355km/h).

Lamborghini’s silence on the price tag suggests it is well above the $500,000 asking price for a LP 780-4 Ultimae. With these cars being one offs and their successors set to become fully electrified vehicles in 2028, they represent a collector piece like no other.
