This was reported by the head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Gaidai.
"Recently, the orcs (Russians, ed.) on their main propaganda TV boasted of a tank support vehicle with the loud name "Terminator". So many beautiful words about how the vehicle is almost impossible to destroy... almost. The photo from the Luhansk defenders shows the very same "Terminator" from the ruscist (russian fascists) video, the very unit that the propagandist was praising so much," Gaidai wrote.
He then went on to publish three photos visually demonstrating what had taken place - one of an undamaged “Terminator” infantry fighting vehicle captured by UAV camera lens and two following shots of it being hit and caught fire, eventually destroying it entirely in flames:
The BMPT "Terminator" is an armored fighting vehicle (AFV), built on the chassis of the widely used T-72 main battle tank by the Russian company Uralvagonzavod. This vehicle was designed for supporting tanks and other AFVs in urban areas. The BMPT is unofficially named the "Terminator" by the manufacturers. It is heavily armed and armored to survive in urban combat. The AFV is armed with four 9M120 Ataka missile launchers, two 30 mm 2A42 autocannons, two AG-17D grenade launchers, and one coaxial 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun.
According to open data, the BMPT "Terminator" costs between 1.5 and 2 million US dollars.
