Toyota announced today that when their brand-new Grand Highlander goes on sale this summer, they'll be gifting 500 customers a new version of the Nintendo Switch portable gaming console.

Equipped with a controller that splits into two for multiplayer fun and featuring a seven-inch screen (up from 6.2), the Switch is ideal for those long road trips in the roomy Toyota Grand Highlander - seats for eight and enough trunk space for seven carry-on suitcases even when all the seats are full. Plus, with each console comes a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the latest instalment in the fan-favourite racing game series.

To top things off, Toyota has adorned one customised Grand Highlander in honour of the Nintendo Switch OLED Model, which will be on display at the Chicago Auto Show from February 9th to 19th as part of their announcement.

The Grand Highlander comes equipped with two hybrid powertrains producing up to 362 hp (270 kW/367 PS) and 400 ft-lbs of torque, and Toyota is set to reveal pricing and an official on-sale date some time this summer.
