Volkswagen has teased a new vehicle model in a video that features the vehicle driving over snow and ice. Unfortunately, the teaser doesn't offer much in terms of details, leaving viewers to speculate about what the company has in store.
In the teaser video, the vehicle's wheels and lower camouflaged body are visible. The ride height suggests that this new vehicle could be a crossover. Running lights can be seen in front of the car, below the main lamps. These strips almost connect in the middle but do not completely meet.

There are three leading possibilities about what this vehicle could be. However, none of them seem to be an exact match. One possibility is a refreshed Touareg, which has been spotted testing in the snow. Although the latest pictures of the vehicle with almost no camouflage reveal some changes, the headlights seen in the photos do not match those in the teaser. Similarly, Volkswagen is also preparing a refreshed Tiguan, which has been tested in the snow and features light camouflage. However, the headlights in the teaser do not have the LED strip that is visible in photos of the Tiguan.
The dark horse possibility is that this new vehicle is the mysterious VW electric crossover from spy shots in April 2022. In the spy shots, an LED strip is visible beneath the headlights, which could fit with the illumination seen in the teaser.
VW's tweet about the new model suggests that it will be "coming soon." This implies that the company may be planning an unveiling in the near future. Depending on the timing, the model could even be available for purchase in some markets before the end of the year.
