Cadillac has announced the mid-cycle refresh of its subcompact crossover, the XT4. The new 2024 model comes with a completely revamped interior and an updated exterior, offering more standard features and enhanced safety systems.

On the exterior, the XT4’s front fascia features vertical signature lighting which now integrates sleek refreshed headlamps and daytime running lights. The XT4’s new grille is a fresh reinterpretation of the classic Cadillac chevron embedded in a dynamic parametric pattern. Each cell of the grille is unique in shape, size and curvature and dipped in deep black gloss. The Premium Luxury trim has an exclusive grille, wheels, fascia, roof rails and side body accents, where the Sport has its own exclusive fascia, wheels, body-side dark accents and dark finish roof rails.

There’s also a new lineup of 18- and 20-inch alloy wheel designs across the portfolio, as well as three new exterior colors3: Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic and Deep Sea Metallic.

The new model comes with a revamped interior, with a completely new design that replaces the dated, button-happy interior of the previous model. The new design includes a single sweeping display screen that measures 33 inches diagonally, offering a 9K resolution, and incorporates a new digital instrument cluster and center infotainment system. The screen has a slight curve towards the driver for improved visibility and control, and it is inspired by the screen offered in the Cadillac Lyriq.

The new interior layout retains many tactile controls, including a shift stalk for the transmission. A rotary dial near the stalk offers additional functionality for the infotainment system. The 2024 XT4 interiors can be filled with new colors and a range of decor including wood, carbon fiber, and aluminum, depending on the trim level and package choices. A cold weather package brings heated seats and steering into the mix, with ventilated massaging seats offered on higher trim levels.

The 2024 XT4 also includes several new features accessible through a customizable user interface on the big screen, such as a 13-speaker AKG Studio stereo and Google built-in. Safety features are upgraded with rear cross-traffic alert with braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beam light control, and lane-departure warning, among others. The Active Safety Package includes adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, pedestrian alerts, speed limit assist, traffic sign recognition, and more. Unfortunately, it's only offered on higher-level XT4 trim levels. However, 5G connectivity and a power liftgate are available across the board.

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is available in base-model Luxury, mid-level Premium Luxury, or range-topping Sport. Pricing will be announced closer to its on-sale date. For comparison, the 2023 XT4 Luxury starts at $37,490, including destination charges.
