The first model is rumored to be a subcompact crossover, potentially called the Fiat 600. It is expected to be unveiled on July 4th and will be manufactured at the Tychy factory in Poland.
The second model's details have not been fully disclosed, but it is speculated to be a new Topolino or a rebadged version of the Citroën Ami, which is categorized as a quadricycle. Tavares indicated that this model will not debut until next year.
There are also rumors that Fiat may bring back the Multipla to replace the 500X and Tipo models, but nothing has been confirmed, and it is unlikely to happen until the middle of the decade.
Fiat has struggled in Europe in recent years, with an aging lineup and few products in need of an update. These new electric models are seen as a crucial step for the brand to remain competitive in the European market, which has been increasingly shifting towards electric vehicles. Tavares' announcement of these new models shows Stellantis' commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio and bringing innovation to its brands.
