Ford has announced the pricing for its 2024 Mustang lineup, including the newly-introduced Mustang Dark Horse. The high-performance Dark Horse will start at $57,970, which is more expensive than the current Mustang Mach 1, but aligns with previously leaked reports.

According to the pricing details posted on Ford's website, the base EcoBoost Fastback Mustang starts at $30,920, while the EcoBoost Premium costs $36,445, and the Premium Convertible is priced at $41,945.

As for the V8-powered Mustang GT, prices have only gone up by $1,755 over the 2023 model. Buyers will pay $41,495 for a base GT, $46,015 for a GT Premium, or $51,515 for a GT Premium Convertible.

The Dark Horse, which is the highest-performance Mustang variant and will be available at launch, starts at $57,970. This model includes an even more powerful V8 producing 500 hp that can be mated to a special Tremec six-speed manual, which is not available on the GT.

The Dark Horse is meant to replace the current Mustang Mach 1, which is priced at $55,570. However, there is no pricing information available yet for optional extras like the available carbon fiber wheels or the Dark Horse Appearance Package with Recaro performance seats.

While the 2024 Mustang is set to go on sale in the summer of 2023, the first car has already been sold. VIN 001 of the Mustang GT production run was sold at auction at the end of January, raising $565,000 for charity.

Ford has not yet released pricing details for each trim with optional extras. The EcoBoost Mustang gets a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 315 horsepower, while the GT uses a 5.0-liter V8 with 480 hp.
