The Renault Espace, which was previously a minivan, will now be available in a stretched version with five or seven seats, making it a comfortable family car. The panoramic glass roof, which measures 1.33 meters long and 84 centimeters wide, allows sunlight through more than one square meter of glass. It spans almost the entire length of the roof, making the cabin feel even more spacious. Renault promises an airy vibe in the front, middle, and rear seats of the car.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Espace will be 14 centimeters shorter, measuring 4.72 meters in overall length. Despite the reduced length, the car will have a slightly more usable interior width. Renault is expected to carry over the exterior and interior styling from its compact Austral model, with only a few changes implemented from the C-pillar to the back.
The Espace will likely inherit the Austral's powertrains, including the mild-hybrid 1.3-liter gasoline engine and full hybrid with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. The total output varies from 140 to 200 hp, depending on the powertrain. A diesel engine seems unlikely, as the Austral is sold exclusively with gasoline powertrains. The SUV is also expected to include the Austral's rear-wheel steering and multi-link rear suspension, although the latter is only used in the more expensive versions.
