Wyclef Jean has launched a new automotive company, Attucks, and the first machine unveiled by him is the Attucks Apex AP0 electric supercar. The car was showcased by Wyclef to his 2.2 million Instagram followers and the audience at The Amelia in Florida. The car's name is a tribute to Crispus Attucks, a black man who died in the Boston Massacre, marking the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.

The Attucks Apex AP0 electric supercar has a top speed of 190 miles per hour and can reach 0-60 in a mere 2.3 seconds, making it an impressive contender among electric supercars. It is powered by an electric motor at the rear, spinning out 650 horsepower and 580 Nm (428 pound-feet) of torque. The power is supplied by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack of unknown origin. While the power output of the car is not extraordinary, its performance claims are buoyed by a weight of only 1,200 kilograms (less than 2,650 pounds), made possible by a "monocoque carbon chassis, with a modular spaceframe and a central spine for maximum rigidity."
What sets the Attucks Apex AP0 electric supercar apart from its competitors is its comparatively reasonable suggested price of $350,000. This puts it in the range of many high-end cars, making it more affordable than multimillion-dollar supercars.
Attucks Apex AP0
The Attucks Apex AP0 electric supercar is claimed to be the lightest electric supercar in existence. To put its weight into perspective, the Rimac Nevera weighs in at 4,740 pounds, more than twice the weight of the Attucks Apex AP0, and the Lotus Evija weighs around 3,700 pounds. The car's weight is a mystery, and it is unclear how Attucks was able to stealthily engineer such a lightweight electric supercar or how it could sell such a machine for such a comparatively reasonable sum.

According to the press release announcing the launch of the Attucks Apex AP0, "Attucks' future and technology is a platform to voice and create dreams in the community, headquartered in Little Haiti, Miami." The platform will be responsible for discovering, grooming, and developing technology, starting with inventions, technological solutions, sustainability, creativity and design, coding, and web3. The company's platform will be responsible for discovering, grooming, and developing technology, and it will be interesting to see how this translates into future products like the AP0.
