Luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin and Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux have announced the launch of their latest collaboration, the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition. The timepiece is the first of the Laureato collection to feature a green ceramic case and bracelet, making it the greenest watch yet from the two brands.

The Laureato name has a rich history, dating back to 1975, and translates to "Graduate." This latest edition incorporates sleek contours and lightweight construction inspired by Aston Martin's traits. The design is a combination of old-school and modern elements, with the dial featuring a diamond-like cross-hatch pattern found on the original Aston Martin logo from 1921-1926. The green color used in the timepiece is Aston Martin Racing Green, a modern interpretation of the classic British Racing Green used in international racing.

The Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition comes in two sizes, 42mm and 38mm, with limited production of 388 and 188 pieces, respectively. The watch will only be available at selected retailers from June 23, and the price has yet to be announced. However, previous collaborations between Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux sold for around $20,000-$27,000.

Girard-Perregaux CEO Patrick Pruniaux said, "From the outset, the design of the Laureato was distinctive, yet cohesive. Its styling encompassed geometric, clean-cut lines while exhibiting a slightly gentle character. The same ingredients are much in evidence with the new Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition, along with the addition of an interesting, highly contemporary material."

The Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition is not the first timepiece collaboration between the two brands. Girard-Perregaux used a green face for the limited-edition Laureato launched last year, and a green face on the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition the year before that.

Despite the long-standing partnership between Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux, it has taken until now for the two companies to produce an all-green timepiece. The Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition promises to be a stunning addition to both brands' collections and a must-have for watch enthusiasts who also appreciate fine automobiles.
