Hyundai has given its eighth-generation Sonata model a major upgrade for 2024, featuring a bold new LED light bar, redesigned taillights, and a stunning curved display in the cabin.

Hyundai has given its eighth-generation Sonata model, which was launched in 2019, a radical facelift for 2024. The midsize sedan's most striking feature is a wide LED light bar at the front, akin to the Kona crossover, Staria minivan, and Grandeur sedan. Hyundai has released images of both the standard model and the sporty-looking N Line version.

The N Line version boasts a new quad exhaust design, exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels, and revised taillights. The H badge has also been moved slightly lower. Both the regular and N Line variants feature redesigned bumpers that make the rear of the car look more aggressive.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Sonata boasts significant changes. The model is the first Hyundai to have a curved display, which houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen of the same size behind a single piece of curved glass. The HVAC panel still has touch-sensitive controls, and a new continuous air vent design, four-dotted (H in Morse code) steering wheel, and a gear selector moved to the steering column to make room for a larger central armrest with a palm rest for added driver comfort.

Hyundai is set to reveal more technical specifications about the 2024 Sonata at the Seoul Mobility Show, which begins on March 30.
