Nissan has unveiled a new concept car, the Skyline Contemporary Lifestyle Vehicle Concept, which boasts a range of features that make it possible to convert the luxury sedan into a comfortable living space.

The car boasts a plethora of features that are not recommended for use while driving but provide convenience and comfort when the vehicle is parked. The steering wheel has a fold-out smartphone holder, and the infotainment touchscreen can be removed from its dashboard perch and used as a tablet. A screen is also mounted in the headliner above the rear seats.

The car's seats, headrests, rear bench, and trunk pass-through all lay flat, creating a uniform surface sleeping area, perfect for watching movies on the screen that is positioned right above your head. The driver's door panel even pops open to reveal a blanket, while the cupholder has a heating element to keep your beverage warm. You can even activate the air conditioning without having to sit up, thanks to a button on the inside B-pillar.

When awake, you can take advantage of the various table surfaces located around the cabin, including one that folds out from the center console and a detachable sun visor that turns into a table. You can also plug in your devices using the 100-volt outlet in the passenger side mirror or the on-board portable battery.

The car also has various storage options, such as an umbrella compartment in the door sill, a bin in the headrest, and a hands-free kick-activated locker below the rear bumper. The grab handle above the door even expands into a hanger to keep your jacket uncreased. And should you have any trash, there is even a receptacle located in the driver's side mirror.

Finally, if you want a true movie-viewing experience, the trunk has a roll-up theater screen that can be deployed along with a projector.

The Nissan Skyline Contemporary Lifestyle Vehicle Concept will be on display at the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery from March 24 to April 2 and can also be viewed on Nissan's YouTube channel.
