Fisker claims the Ocean's driving range of 440 miles on the WLTP cycle, available on the high-spec Ocean Extreme model with a 550 hp (558 PS) motor, is easily the best of any electric SUV available in Europe. While Fisker has yet to confirm the WLTP figures for the entry-level Sport model and mid-spec all-wheel drive Ultra, the impressive boost in range of the Extreme by almost 15 percent from an estimated 390 miles (628 km) suggests the Sport and Ultra models will also see an increase in their range figures.
Fisker's Ocean beats the previous longest-legged electric SUV in Europe, BMW's iX xDrive50, which can travel 380 miles (612 km) on a single charge with its 111.5 kWh battery. The Ocean's range also surpasses the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which has a WLTP range of 379 miles (610 km) when fitted with the largest battery option and a single-motor, rear-wheel drive.

It's important to note that the WLTP figures are subject to change and the EPA figures for North America have yet to be confirmed. The EPA ratings tend to be lower and will likely be more representative of real-world driving numbers when production of the Ocean begins in the coming months in Austria.
Fisker's Ocean SUV boasts an impressive driving range that puts it at the forefront of electric SUVs available in Europe. With production set to begin soon, it will be interesting to see how the Ocean performs on the road and how it stacks up against the competition.
The Fisker ocean is due to go on sale in Europe this year.
