The European Union and United States will jointly pay for the purchase of 100 Rosomak armored personnel carriers from Poland for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Twitter.

"The Ukrainian Army will buy 100 Rosomaks from us, which are manufactured in Siemianowice Slaskie. Wolverines are top-of-the-line combat transporters. Payment for this purchase will be from EU and US money." said Mateusz Morawiecki.

The Rosomak is an 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle, which is a licensed version of the Finnish Patria AMV. The vehicle is manufactured in Poland in both BMP and APC versions under a 2002 contract. It is equipped with a crew of three and can transport up to eight soldiers in its landing compartment. The armored hull of the vehicle protects against 14.5mm bullets in the front and 7.62mm bullets on the sides, and the vehicle can reach a top speed of 100 km/h and overcome water obstacles at a speed of up to 10 km/h.

The Rosomak armored personnel carrier has been developed for various purposes, with several versions currently in service with the Polish army. This order from Poland to supply Ukraine with 100 Rosomak armored personnel carriers will bolster Ukraine's military capabilities and provide it with advanced equipment to safeguard its national security.
