Lamborghini has recently introduced its latest supercar, the Revuelto, which comes with a groundbreaking 1,001-horsepower High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) powertrain. As a result, the Italian automaker had to develop a set of bespoke tires that were specifically designed to cater to the car's extreme performance needs.
To achieve this feat, Lamborghini turned to tire manufacturer Bridgestone to create two tire options for the Revuelto that cater to different driving conditions. The first option is a set of Bridgestone Potenza Sport summer tires that are staggered with 21-inch tires at the front and 22-inch tires at the rear. The rear tires measure up to a massive 355/25-ZRF22, which is comparable to the widest tires on a factory production car, such as the Bugatti Chiron and the Revuelto's predecessor, the Aventador. The front tires are still wide, measuring 265/35. The second option is a set of Blizzak LM005 winter tires for those who prefer all-season fun in their Revuelto.
Both tire options were developed and manufactured in Italy by Bridgestone, using a combination of virtual and real-world situations to ensure the desired level of performance was achieved. Lamborghini's all-wheel-drive powertrain, which combines a new V12 engine with three electric motors, requires high-performance tires to make the most of its power.
The partnership between Lamborghini and Bridgestone is not new, as the two companies have collaborated on custom-engineered tires for other Lamborghini supercars, such as the Huracán STO, EVO, Tecnica, and Sterrato models. Lamborghini Marketing Director Cristian Mastro expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, saying, "We are particularly pleased to be working with Bridgestone as our exclusive tire partner once again."
