The Zeekr X compact EV was previewed in February, and now it has been launched in China. It has also been confirmed that it will be available in Europe.
The upcoming model from Geely Holding Group's premium electric mobility brand appears to be a formidable contender, based on the specifications and prices revealed for the Chinese market. This will be their third model after the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009.
The Zeekr X utilizes Geely's Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) and is available with two powertrain options - a single-motor setup and a dual-motor variant. Both powertrains use in-house electric motors and silicon carbide battery technology.
The dual-motor model has an impressive performance capability of 315 kW (422 hp) and 400 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the single-motor model can go from 0 to 62 mph in 5.8 seconds and has a 200 kW (268 hp) rear-mounted motor.
2023 Zeekr X
Zeekr X models are equipped with a 66-kilowatt-hour pack that contains NMC chemistry. According to the automaker, the RWD model can travel up to 348 miles (560 kilometers) on one charge, and the AWD model can go up to 318 miles (512 km) on a single charge. These distances are based on China's CLTC test cycle.
According to Zeekr, the X has a great balance of comfort and performance due to its Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system and four-wheel independent suspension. It also has a AWD system that can transition between two- and four-wheel drive automatically depending on driving conditions for a smoother ride.
Some of the notable interior features are a panoramic double-pane glass canopy that covers an area of 12.9 square feet (1.2 square meters), a large 14.6-inch main screen that appears to be floating, a wireless phone charging pad, ambient lighting, and several other features.

The Zeekr X has an option for four or five seats, with electric folding rear seats that can fold the cushions upwards to create more space. The trunk can hold up to 12.8 cubic feet (362 liters) of items when all seats are in use, and up to 41.7 cubic feet (1,182 liters) when the rear seats are folded down.
Although the Zeekr X boasts impressive specifications and features, its price is what will grab everyone's attention. The base RWD version starts at just $27,600 (189,800 yuan), while the AWD model only costs slightly more, starting at $30,500 (209,800 yuan).
The Zeekr X will be available for delivery in China starting in June. Additionally, the company has mentioned that a launch in Europe is anticipated in the future.
