Skoda has released teasers of the 2024 Superb liftback and wagon, ahead of their world premiere later this year. The flagship models have been photographed alongside previous generations, including the original 1930s and 1940s vehicles.

The 2024 Superb will feature more efficient gasoline and diesel engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but no fully electric variant. The new Superb will be the first Skoda model to be built in Bratislava, Slovakia, instead of in the Czech Republic.

Cumulative sales of the modern Superb (from 2001) have exceeded 1.55 million units, with the outgoing model accounting for over half the demand.

The new Superb will have fewer rivals than its predecessors, as the Opel Insignia and Ford Mondeo have been discontinued, and the Mazda6 is aging. The Peugeot 508 recently underwent a facelift, while the Passat Sedan has been discontinued.

Skoda has also teased an Octavia wagon-like EV ahead of a 2026 release. The second-generation Kodiaq will also debut this fall, with four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, and will be offered as a PHEV for the first time.
