Earlier this year, Cadillac brought test drive Lyric vehicles to a Tesla Supercharger in China to offer rides to Tesla owners. Lucid Motors followed suit by bringing a Lucid Air test drive car to a Supercharger station in Hollywood.
Some Tesla owners were angered by Lucid’s approach, but others saw it as clever marketing. While it may be more effective for Lucid to go after gasoline-powered cars, they are doing what they can to attract customers. This is lower-hanging fruit and a viable option to explore.
The Lucid Air is a luxury electric vehicle designed and manufactured by Lucid Motors, an American automotive company. Launched in 2021, the Air EV has quickly gained a reputation for its impressive performance, elegant design, and advanced technology features.
Key specifications of the Lucid Air include a range of up to 520 miles on a single charge, courtesy of its 113 kWh battery pack. The vehicle boasts a powerful dual-motor system, delivering up to 1,111 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. The Air EV also supports fast charging, with the capability to replenish up to 300 miles of range in 20 minutes using a DC fast charger.
The 2023 Lucid Air starts at $87,400. That's for the Pure model with rear-wheel drive (RWD). A Grand Touring with the Performance upgrade adds up to almost $180K.
