Bentley has announced the upcoming end of production for its W12 engine, and to commemorate the occasion, the luxury automaker is launching a new range of Speed Edition 12 models. The limited-edition vehicles include the Bentayga, Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur, each available in a run of just 120 units.

The Speed Edition 12 models are marked with special badging and a numbered plaque, along with the Blackline package that darkens the exterior chrome. These vehicles ride on 22-inch wheels with silver brake calipers behind them.

Inside, the special edition offers several upholstery options with Mulliner Silver piping and contrast stitching in Anthracite, Porpoise, and Stratos hues. The organ stop air vents also feature the "12" designation, and the models come with high-gloss Grand Black wood veneer trim.

In addition, buyers can opt for the new Opalite color, which blends light gray and green with a copper finish effect when the sunlight hits the body. As a final touch, the Speed Edition 12 models come with a 15 percent scale W12 engine model cast in aluminum.

The W12 engine was first introduced by Bentley in 2003, and over 100,000 units have been built. However, with electrification looming as the future for the brand, Bentley intends to offer only EVs by 2030. The first electric model is set to debut in 2026, with the company planning to offer two batteries, including what it calls "the W12 of batteries," and electric motors capable of producing up to 100 percent more power than the brand's current combustion engines.
