Mate Rimac himself hinted at the imminent achievement in a comment on his Facebook page, where he shared a video of the Nevera's high-speed run on the Autobahn. The test has either already taken place or is happening right now, with an announcement expected soon.
The Rimac Nevera is already a hypercar of mind-boggling numbers, with a top speed of 412 km/h (256 mph) and a quarter-mile time of just 8.58 seconds. But the question remains: can it brake just as well as it accelerates? We'll soon find out if the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes can help the electric hypercar generate even more exciting numbers.

If the Rimac Nevera does take the title from the Koenigsegg Agera, it may not hold onto it for long. The Swedish marque is reportedly working on a new record-shattering car, the Jesko Absolut, which is said to be even faster than the 490,48- kmh/h (304.77 mph) Bugatti Chiron Super Sport.
