The 2023 Genesis GV60 has recently made its way to the Australian market, and it already comes with a range of exciting updates. While the model remains largely unchanged under the hood, it now offers a variety of new features.

One standout innovation is the Face Connect function, which utilizes biometric facial recognition through a camera integrated into the driver's side door trim. This advanced system allows drivers to unlock the electric vehicle (EV) without the need for a key, even if they are wearing hats or glasses. Additionally, the fingerprint scanner on the dashboard has been enhanced, enabling drivers to start the EV simply by touching it.

For Performance AWD versions, Genesis has introduced the Virtual Gear Shift function, which simulates gear shifts through paddles, providing a heightened sense of driver involvement. The updated model also includes an air purification function with an extra fine dust and particulate matter sensor, ensuring a cleaner cabin environment. Furthermore, the ambient lighting system has been upgraded to include footwell lights, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

On the exterior front, the 2023 GV60 now features rear brake caliper covers, adding a touch of premium elegance to the EV's appearance. Additionally, two new color options have been introduced: Capri Blue Mica and Makalu Grey Metallic, replacing the previous Adriatic Blue Mica, Himalayan Grey Metallic, and Melbourne Grey Matte. Sao Paulo Lime, on the other hand, has been discontinued.

Making its Australian debut with the 2023 GV60 is Genesis Connected Services, providing owners with a complimentary 5-year subscription. This service includes a range of features such as SOS Emergency Call, valet mode, voice control, calendar integration, weather service, and vehicle diagnostics. Moreover, the updated GV60 now supports over-the-air software updates, ensuring that the vehicle's software remains up to date.

The GV60 lineup offers two versions. The base model is the GV60 AWD, equipped with a 74 kW (99 hp) front motor and a 160 kW (214 hp) rear motor, powered by a 77.4 kWh battery. It is priced from AU$107,700 ($72,833). At the top of the range is the Performance AWD, featuring a 180 kW (241 hp) front motor and a 180 kW (241 hp) rear motor, starting at AU$114,700 ($77,567).
