ADS-TEC Energy and JOLT Energy to deploy 1,000 battery-buffered, ultra-fast EV chargers across city centers in the US and Europe over the next 18 months.

These chargers by ADS-TEC Energy offer a charging power of up to 320 kW without burdening the grid, thanks to their battery-storage-based technology. This feature is especially beneficial for city centers where space for electrical substations is often limited. Additionally, the chargers have the capability to store energy for other purposes, contributing to efficient site energy management.

JOLT Energy, a Munich-based company specializing in urban EV charger installations, has been successfully deploying ADS-TEC Energy ChargeBox ultra-fast charging systems in Germany for over a year. These chargers have experienced a significant utilization rate of over 60% on a weekly average, with continuous growth.

Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy, emphasized the suitability of their charging solutions for ultra-fast charging despite power-limited grid connections. He also highlighted their compact size, easy installation, and multifunctionality, making them an invaluable platform for the energy transition.

Although the specific cities where these ultra-fast chargers will be deployed have not been disclosed, JOLT Energy has already placed a substantial order for 2023.
