2024 Volkswagen Atlas: Starting at $39,075, you get more standard features

Volkswagen unveiled U.S. pricing details for its 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models. Set to arrive at dealerships later this year, these refreshed SUVs boast not only refreshed exteriors but also notable improvements beneath the surface.

Starting at $39,075, the 2024 Atlas offers a host of new standard equipment, including a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, ventilated front seats, and a height-adjustable passenger seat. Additionally, Volkswagen has introduced its innovative Climatronic automatic climate control system to ensure optimal comfort for all occupants. 

The cabin has also received a significant upgrade, with premium materials and a refined design aesthetic. Notably, top-of-the-line variants feature exquisite quilted leather seats adorned with a tasteful diamond stitch pattern.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Atlas Cross Sport presents an attractive starting price of $38,065, making it an even more accessible option for SUV enthusiasts. It shares many of the enhancements seen in its larger sibling, including the array of standard features and the luxurious cabin upgrades.

Under the hood, both the 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport have bid farewell to the VR6 engine, now adopting a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerplant. With an output of 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, this dynamic engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel economy figures for these updated models will be announced closer to their release date, scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

Volkswagen will offer the 2024 Atlas in six trims, ranging from the entry-level SE to the top-tier SEL Premium R-Line, with prices varying based on selected options. The Atlas Cross Sport will be available in five trims, including the sporty SEL R-Line and the range-topping SEL Premium R-Line.
