Bentley Motors has appointed Robin Page, the former Head of Global Design at Volvo, to spearhead the luxury brand's transition into the electric era. Page, who brings over three decades of experience to the role, will assume his position on September 1. During his tenure at Volvo, he played a key role in developing the design language for the automaker's electric vehicles.

While Page made his mark at the Swedish brand, he is no stranger to Bentley. In fact, he previously served as Bentley's Head of Interior Design from 2001 to 2013. Even if his name isn't instantly recognizable, his work certainly is. Page had a hand in crafting the interiors of notable models such as the first-generation Continental GT and the latest Mulsanne.

In his new role, Page will report directly to CEO Adrian Hallmark, who expressed his pleasure at welcoming Page back to Bentley, noting their previous collaboration during a pivotal period in the company's history that saw the launch of the groundbreaking Continental GT.

Hallmark further highlighted that Page's expertise will be instrumental in driving Bentley's electrification strategy forward, stating, "He joins at a time when we are shaping an even greater story as we accelerate our journey to full electrification by 2030. His previous experiences in innovative automotive design, coupled with a profound understanding of the Bentley brand, make him the perfect candidate to help us achieve our future ambitions as the leader in sustainable luxury mobility."

Page himself echoed these sentiments, expressing his privilege at the opportunity to return to Bentley and help define the design language for the first Bentley Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). He emphasized the challenge of striking a balance between innovation and continuity with the brand's storied heritage.

As Bentley gears up for an electrified future, the appointment of Robin Page signifies the brand's commitment to setting new standards in sustainable luxury mobility. With his wealth of experience and deep understanding of automotive design, Page is poised to play a pivotal role in Bentley's pursuit of a successful electric era.
