Owning a Bugatti is a dream for many automobile enthusiasts, and it comes with some truly exceptional perks. Recently, a select group of Bugatti customers had the opportunity to push their high-performance vehicles to the limit at Space Florida's Launch and Landing Facility. This unique event, organized in collaboration with the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds, involved straight-line aerodynamic testing and allowed Bugatti owners to experience the exhilaration of reaching speeds well over 249 miles per hour (400 km/h).

The venue for this extraordinary event was none other than a 3.0-mile stretch of asphalt that was originally designed for the landing of the iconic Space Shuttle. Now repurposed as a platform for high-speed runs, this former space shuttle runway provided the perfect setting for Bugatti owners to unleash the full potential of their vehicles. Surpassing the 249 mph mark, these cars covered more than a football field in the blink of an eye, demonstrating the immense power and speed at their disposal.

To commemorate their participation in this thrilling event, each driver was presented with a personalized Bugatti race suit, complete with their name embroidered on it. Additionally, Bugatti inscribed each helmet with the driver's top speed achieved on the course, serving as a lasting memento of their incredible achievement.

Among the remarkable performances during the event, one particular Chiron managed to break the 250 mph (402,3 km/h) barrier. Evan Cygler, the Brand Manager of Bugatti Greenwich, described his experience behind the wheel of the Chiron Super Sport, stating, "The Chiron Super Sport felt as capable at 400 km/h as it did at 200 km/h. It's an experience I'll never forget and that only reinforces my passion for the incredible Bugatti brand."

Bugatti continues to make waves in the automotive industry, as evidenced by its record-breaking deliveries in 2022. With a total of 80 vehicles handed over to customers, Bugatti achieved its highest annual delivery figures to date. As the company nears the completion of the 500 Chiron production run, it is also actively developing a pre-owned program to facilitate the transfer of ownership between Bugatti owners.

While the current models are being finalized, Bugatti is also looking ahead to the future. Mate Rimac, the CEO of Bugatti, revealed that the brand's forthcoming vehicle would feature a combustion engine supported by electric assistance. Rimac emphasized the brand's commitment to innovation, stating that the new model would be a departure from the Chiron, built entirely from scratch. Although specific details about the new model and its public debut are yet to be disclosed, Rimac described it as a blend of elegance and exhilaration, likening the experience to attending an opera followed by a breathtaking 249 mph drive on the Autobahn.
