The introduction of the EQT from Mercedes-EQ provides families and adventure enthusiasts with an appealing entry point into the world of electric mobility adorned with the iconic three-pointed star. The compact electric van is now available for order, offering an array of features such as a 90 kW electric motor, two sliding doors, the MBUX infotainment system, and an extensive range of safety and assistance systems. With an 80 kW DC charger, the 45 kWh battery can be rapidly charged from 10 to 80 percent within just 38 minutes at fast-charging stations. The EQT boasts a WLTP range of 282 kilometers, ensuring an efficient and hassle-free driving experience.
Instantly recognizable as a member of the Mercedes EQ family, the new EQT exhibits a distinctive design with a black panel grille featuring a central star and dynamically designed cooling fins. The compact exterior dimensions of the electric small van belie its spacious interior. By skillfully integrating the battery into the underbody, the EQT offers the same versatility and functionality as its conventionally powered counterpart, the T-Class. With dimensions of 4,498 millimeters in length, 1,859 millimeters in width, and 1,819 millimeters in height, the EQT combines practicality with a compact form factor. A long-wheelbase variant will also be made available in the future, further expanding the options for prospective buyers.
Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new offer logic, simplifying and expediting the purchasing process for customers. Depending on their preferences and regional requirements, buyers can choose from three preconfigured equipment packages that bundle frequently combined functional options. Additionally, the enhanced standard equipment ensures that customers receive an attractive vehicle right from the start. Optional packages such as the Winter Package and the Navigation Package provide further customization. Furthermore, individual features like a trailer hitch can be added according to the customer's preferences.
In terms of pricing, the EQT starts at 49,444.50 euros (Price in Germany, including 19% VAT) for the Advanced Plus equipment package. The vehicle is also available with the Premium or Premium Plus equipment packages, presenting an enticing selection of additional visual features and connectivity services.
For commercial customers, the eCitan is now available for order as a panel van in two lengths: 4,498 mm for the compact version and 4,922 mm for the long version. Initially, the eCitan will be released as a tourer for commercial passenger transport in the compact length, with the long version and a Mixto variant becoming available at a later date. The eCitan meets the needs of commercial users, such as couriers, shuttles, and delivery services operating in urban areas, with a range of 280-284 kilometers according to WLTP. The 45 kWh battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 38 minutes using the optional 80 kW DC charger. Remarkably, the eCitan offers comparable load volume and payload capacities to its conventionally powered Citan counterparts. The compact panel van provides 2.9 cubic meters of load volume and a payload of up to 544 kilograms, while the long-wheelbase version offers 3.62 cubic meters of load volume and a payload of up to 722 kilograms.
The eCitan is priced at 36,220 euros for commercial customers (Price in Germany, excluding VAT) for the compact panel van model. The long version starts at 37,740 euros (Price in Germany, excluding VAT), and the commercially oriented eCitan Tourer begins at 39,750 euros (Price in Germany, excluding VAT).
Both the EQT and the eCitan come with a four-year maintenance package, covering maintenance costs in accordance with the service booklet and manufacturer's specifications during this period. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz provides the Mercedes-Benz battery certificate, offering coverage for up to 160,000 kilometers or eight years, ensuring peace of mind for customers.
