Next-Gen Skoda Superb Wagon Spied in Southern Europe, Teases Sleek Design

The next-generation Skoda Superb is undergoing hot-weather testing in Southern Europe and is expected to debut in the second half of 2023. The spy photos show a wagon variant of the new Superb, while earlier pictures revealed a liftback variant is also in the works.

The camouflaged car features boxy headlights with running lamps, the brand's signature vertical slats grille, and an aerodynamic lower fascia with air curtains. The wagon has a sleek profile with a long body and angled D-pillar. It has large side windows, which should provide ample light to the cabin.

The back of the car showcases a roof spoiler and glimpses of boxy taillights, similar to the headlights. Some interior details are concealed, but previous spy shots revealed a large screen on the center stack and a digital instrument cluster.

The new Superb will ride on the updated MQB platform shared with the next-gen Volkswagen Passat, and both models will be available as wagons. The exact timing of the new Superb's debut is still unknown, but Skoda has already initiated a teaser campaign for the model.
