2024 Volkswagen Tiguan Teaser Reveals More Tech and 15-Inch Screen

The third-generation Tiguan is set to be unveiled in the fall and will go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2024.

The new Tiguan features a more rounded design compared to its predecessor, resembling the electric ID.4. The vehicle has increased in length by 32 millimeters (1.25 inches) and height by 5 millimeters (0.2 inches) compared to the current model. The cargo volume has been improved, offering 648 liters (nearly 23 cubic feet) of space.

Upgraded features include HD matrix headlights, a full-width LED strip at the rear, and a larger infotainment touchscreen (12.9-inch or 15-inch) tablet that is no longer integrated into the center console.

The Tiguan will be available with gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid drivetrains, with the plug-in hybrids offering an electric range of up to 75 miles (120 kilometers). The new generation will come with front- and all-wheel-drive options and enhanced Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Pro) with two-valve shock absorbers for a smoother ride.

This generation of the Tiguan is likely to be the last one with combustion engines in Europe, as Volkswagen plans to end sales of such cars in the region by 2033.
