Tesla has installed over 500,000 Powerwalls worldwide, indicating significant growth in the home battery market.

Powerwall 2, introduced in 2016, played a crucial role in driving the adoption of Tesla's home battery solutions. It took Tesla nearly four years to install the first 100,000 Powerwalls, but subsequently, the rate of deployment increased significantly.

Tesla reached 200,000 Powerwall installations in May 2021, doubling its installations within a year. In November 2021, Tesla announced that it had deployed 250,000 Powerwalls, taking six years to reach that milestone.

Within less than two years, Tesla successfully deployed the next 250,000 Powerwalls, reflecting accelerated deployment due to partnerships with third-party installers and increased production capacity.

Tesla's production capacity at Gigafactory Nevada allows for the production of 6,500 Powerwalls per week, although sustained output may be influenced by battery supply constraints.

Tesla is now preparing to launch the next version of the home battery pack: Powerwall 3.
