The 2023 Volkswagen Golf R has been customized by off-road specialist Delta4x4 to create a lifted, all-terrain version of the hot hatch.

The customization package includes an 80mm (3.14 inches) lift kit, custom 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a roof rack for added practicality, and five additional PIAA lights mounted on the hood.

Delta4x4 has created this concept as a limited production model, with plans to make 25 conversions if there is enough customer interest. However, the package is expected to be quite expensive, estimated at €35,000, which is more than the cost of a Golf R-Line in Germany.

If there is sufficient demand, it may take six to nine months to fully develop the kit and make it available for conversions.

This customized Golf R is separate from the raised Golf Alltrack model, which is currently available as a wagon with all-wheel drive and plastic body cladding.

Delta4x4 has previously worked on modifying other VW-based vehicles, such as the Multivan T7 and the second-generation Amarok pickup truck.
