Nissan has confirmed the existence of the Nismo Z, a higher-performance version of the Nissan Z sports coupe. A teaser video has been released, showcasing the exterior and interior of the Nismo Z.

The Nismo Z features a more aggressive body design with additions such as a prominent front splitter, a red stripe outlining the body's lower edge, extended rear spoiler, and Nismo branding. The interior of the Nismo Z includes heavily bolstered seats with Nismo branding, Recaro badges, and the Nismo wordmark appearing in the digital instrument cluster graphics.

While the engine layout appears to be the same as the existing Z, potential tweaks to increase the current output of 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque are not ruled out.

The teaser video features Chris Forsberg, a three-time Formula Drift champion, showcasing the car's drifting capabilities.

The pricing of the Nismo Z is expected to be higher than the current range-topping Nissan Z Proto Spec, which starts at $56,380.

The Nismo Z is anticipated to premiere later in the summer, and it may potentially be available in showrooms before the end of the year or in early 2024.
