SunVilla and Suntek have collaborated to create the Solar Powered Smart Yard, a solar + battery powered storage shed that can charge electric outdoor lawn equipment. The shed utilizes semi-solid-state batteries, which are smaller, safer, and less expensive than lithium-ion batteries, and it features 6.4 kWh battery capacity and 3.8 kW output.
The shed also incorporates 100-200 W solar panels on its roof, to generate clean energy for powering the stored equipment. Multiple devices can be powered simultaneously in the shed, and it can also be used as a regular storage shed.
The Solar Powered Smart Yard has Internet of Things technology and is controlled and monitored using the Suntek Smart Link app.
The Solar Powered Smart Yard will be available to retailers at the Atlanta trade show Casual Market and to US consumers later in 2023.
