Xiaomi is planning to release an electric sedan called the Xiaomi MS11 in China next year. The long-range version of the MS11 will be equipped with a 101 kWh battery, which is expected to provide a range of 800 km.

The battery of the Xiaomi MS11 was spotted in China a few days ago. The spy shot was first published by the MetaAuto Weibo account. Later it was deleted. However, this image immediately went viral.

According to the label, it is a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 101 kWh. Its voltage reaches 726.7V. As for the rated capacity, it is 139.0 Ah. Finally, the weight of the battery is 642 kg. So its energy density is 157 Wh/kg. This is a pretty average number among many batteries.

Xiaomi MS11 may be called as "Modena". It will hit the Chinese market next year. Earlier it was reported that the MS11 will have three versions. The first two of them will have BYD's Blade Battery (LFP). And the third will have a ternary (NMC) battery from CATL.

Xiaomi wants to manufacture the cars on its own. However, BAIC Group will supply some exterior parts. As for the MS11's price range, it is expected to be around 260,000 - 350,000 yuan (36,400 - 49,000 USD).
