The vehicles also feature PAS 300 blast resistance and self-sealing fuel tanks to minimize potential damage. The BMW 7 Series Protection is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 mild hybrid gasoline engine. The new drive system generates a maximum output of 390 kW/530 hp and a peak torque of 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). The intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system distributes power to all four wheels as required. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).
The electric BMW i7 Protection harnesses the power of two electric motors to deliver 400 kW/544 hp and 745 Nm of torque. While its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is extended to 9.0 seconds due to the enhanced protection measures, its top speed is limited to 160 km/h (99 mph).
