Volvo Car USA is adding a new variant of one of its best-selling SUVs to its lineup. The XC60 Black Edition will be available as a 2024 model, adding an eye-catching styling option to the top levels of its SUV.

This isn't the first Volvo Black Edition model, as the company has already applied the appearance package to the S60, and now its most popular SUV is getting the treatment. The changes, which we'll describe in detail below, are very similar to those on the sedan.

First of all, you have to choose the top Ultimate trim level to get the Black Edition package. Every Black Edition is painted in Onyx Black, features unique 21-inch gloss black painted wheels, a black Volvo logo in the front and black "Volvo" lettering in the rear.

Inside, there's a choice of Charcoal Black leather or Volvo's Black/Grey seats, which combine leather, fabric and artificial leather for a sportier look. Each interior will be complemented by contrasting metal mesh aluminum decor, a crystal gear shift knob, and a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display complete with Google built in.

Volvo says buyers will also be able to choose between two powertrains, with one being the mild-hybrid B5 and the other being its top-of-the-line T8 Recharge plug-in hybrid setup. The B5 Black Edition has a starting price of $58,595 including destination, while the T8 will run you $70,045.
